Well that certainly was big couple of days we just had in No Anchor-land. Thanks to everyone in Brisbane who came to our 7inch launch last Saturday night. We had a great time making a hell of a racket. To Quiet Steps and Tiny Spiders we tip our hats for being terrific and to the lads in Whitehorse, thanks for making the trek and setting the bar when it comes to Doom in this country! So good.
Well, the 7inch went live online last Saturday and thanks to everyone who's already bought a copy. They're all currently being juggled from mailman to mailman on their way to you. If you're still thinking of grabbing a copy then that's cool but just letting you know that I only have 32 copies (out of 100) of the single on blue vinyl on the desk beside me then they're all gone.
And so the train keeps rolling along. This is our next show in a few weeks and we're pretty damn stoked to be playing with these two awesome bands at The Zoo...
Head over to THE ZOO WEBSITE to buy tickets. They're ridiculously cheap for a International double header.
See you in the future!
Alex.

The time has come
...yet again when we have something new to send off out into the world.
This is just a quick heads up that at 12noon Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) we will be putting our new 7inch vinyl up online for sale. Go to our bandcamp page to grab yourself a copy
http://noanchor.bandcamp.com/
As you've probably already read below. We've made 100 on Blue vinyl and 150 on black vinyl.
If you're in Brisbane then you can grab a copy personally from us at our launch at Woodland.
Thanks, Alex.

The 7inch we made but forgot to title
...so I guess it's a self-titled EP then?
Last year we released our album Real Pain Supernova, you might have heard of it (if you're reading this). It was nine songs in a bit over an hour. This year we've swung the pendulum all the way to the other extreme by releasing an EP consisting of four songs in eight minutes. From what I remember I think we recorded the whole thing in four hours, late one night. Keeping it tight people!
It goes a little something like this:
Side A
Rope
Pussy Footin'
Side B
Uninvited
Jordan, Minnesota (Big Black Cover)
Anyway, fast forward a few months and we have this wonderful little package for you all.
Now as you will see below, we were foolish enough to indulge in some coloured vinyl versions. We did the first 100 in RAD blue. Another 150 in BLEAK black. Aaahhh.... we're so nerdy at times.
So we decided to do two versions of the artwork. The top two photos are the front/back for the blue vinyl and the cover art below is for the front/back black vinyl. While you're reading this you can rest assure that Alex is happily at home cutting, folding and putting together the covers and indulging his love of being a perfectionist.
The biggest shout out need to go to our friend Dase in Melbourne. This is the first time No Anchor has gone outside the band to make the artwork for one of our releases. Dase did a terrific job of it and we encourage you to go check out more of his stuff HERE.
This is all going to be released in a few weeks' time on 17th March. You will be able to buy it direct from our Bandcamp page HERE The black vinyl will make into independent stores around the country over the coming weeks too. We will also have a digital version of the Ep available on our Bandcamp page*.
*The Big Black cover will only exist on the vinyl. Not on the digital version of the release.
We have a Brisbane launch coming up details to follow.

7 Inches of Fun
It's been a bit quiet on here. Sorry about that.
After a flurry of activity over the new year, the band, quite literally went off in different directions. Currently Ian is in Adelaide and oh, Adelaide, can we please have Ian back sometime soon - we kind of need him up here.
Currently we're working out the details for our first run of gigs over the coming months. We'll be sure to let you know all about it once we've got more than one foot nailed to the floor.
The one thing that we here in No Anchorland want you to know about is that these little critters landed on our doorstep today. Yeeeaahhh! (and there was much rejoicing).
Over the coming weeks we'll get these all packaged up and wrangle ourselves a launch to help spread the joy.
We hope your week is going as great as ours is.
Alex.
